Born From Bold Moves
In 2008, in the midst of the housing crisis, Michele Casale saw opportunity where others saw decline. As the mortgage market contracted, she made a bold decision to launch Settlement Engine — a move that would grow into a respected title insurance company in a highly competitive industry.
Her background as an Executive Producer in film and television prepared her for exactly this moment. Managing tight deadlines, complex logistics, large teams, and constant pressure gave her the discipline and leadership skills to build something different in the title space.
From day one, Settlement Engine was built on integrity, decisiveness, and the ability to navigate complexity without losing control of the outcome. That foundation continues to define the company today.

President & Founder
Michele Casale brings a producer’s discipline to the world of title insurance. Before founding Settlement Engine, she spent decades as an Executive Producer in film and television — and that experience shaped her leadership style.
Michele thrives in complexity, makes decisive calls when it counts, and expects excellence from her team. She built Settlement Engine with a concierge-level standard of service, believing that closings should be coordinated with the same precision as a major production.
